| Lot 108 | A unique L & S W Rly Brass Engraved Large style heavy HANDBELL. Engraved on the face "L.S. & W.R". This hand bell was the one used to make the traffic and pedestrians aware that passenger and freight movements were crossing the Canute Road which ran between Southampton Terminus and the line into Southampton docks and Ocean Terminus, which forwarded passengers to the ocean liners. Totally original condition. A rare find. |
