Lot 237 A GWR Castle Class Locomotive Chimney off "7000 -VISCOUNT PORTAL" Acquired Cashmore's Scrap yard Great Bridge for £10.00 in 1964. The original buyer was visiting the yard and noticed the loco being scrapped and approached the foreman to ask if he could buy the chimney , while waiting it was burnt off and just left to fall on the floor which caused it to fracture, hence the welding work noticeable on the chimney today. Another rare survivor.
