Lot 242 C/I Smokebox Locomotive Number plate "48393" as carried by a Stanier designed LMS/BR 2-8-0 8F tender locomotive built at Horwich works in April 1945. Allocations included Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Derby, Nottingham, Westhouses, Colwick, Lostock Hall and Rose Grove from where it was withdrawn in August 1968. Cut up at Wards, Beighton, Sheffield 12/68.
