| Lot 141 | C/I Smokebox Number plate "60916" As carried by a Gresley designed ex NER/LNER/BR V2 Class 2-6-2 Locomotive built at Darlington Works in July 1940. Allocations included Doncaster, New England, Nine Elms (where it was on loan to the Southern Region for approx 3 months whilst the Bullied Pacifics underwent investigation ) Ardsley, Thornaby, Darlington from where it was withdrawn in June 1964. Cut up at Swindon Works 08/64. First time in Auction for this ex Loco plate. |
