Lot 100 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "BIBBY LINE" as carried by the Southern Railway Merchant Navy 4-6-2 Pacific originally numbered 21C20 when built at Eastleigh Works in June 1945 but renumbered by BR as No "35020" in May 1948. Allocations included Nine Elms and Weymouth from where it was withdrawn in February 1965 after running 981,479 miles. Cut up at Eastleigh Works in March 1965. The nameplate was presented to Bibby Line by BR and purchased by the original vendor in 1966 as evidenced by the accompanying letter. Lightly polished and with the original paint not skimmed but has some professionally executed restoration of the enamel crest. Supplied with the original BR wooden presentation plaque.
