Lot 5 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "BLAKE". As carried by a W. Stanier designed ex LMS Class 6P 4-6-0 Number "45650" built at Crewe Works in January 1935. Allocations included Crewe North, Shrewsbury, Camden, Patricroft, Holyhead, Kentish Town, Nottingham, Newton Heath, Leicester and Burton from where it was withdrawn in January 1963. Cut up at Crewe Works 06/63. The plate has six bolt holes and is from the fireman's side. The rim has been varnished but the back is ex-loco and the front was restored many years ago. Recovered by the late vendor at the end of steam and never before offered at auction.
