| Lot 348 | Brass Oval Locomotive Cabside Number plate "CAMINHOS - DE - FERRO MOCAMBIQUE 478". From a 3ft 6ins gauge 4-8-2 + 2-8-4 Garratt, built under licence by Haine St Pierre. New to Caminhos de Ferro Mocambique, their No 478, the class hauled heavy traffic to Rhodesia on the Beira to Umtali line. When civil war broke out in 1975 they were fitted with armoured cabs and most were withdrawn or wrecked by the late 1980s. Cast brass 14ΒΌ"x71/2", ex loco condition. |
