Lot 1 | Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "KIDWELLY" As carried by an Eager designed 0-6-0ST built by the Avonside Engine Co, Bristol in May 1903. This Locomotive was originally built for the Burry Port & Gwendraeth Railway as their No 4 (works No 1463) but was passed to the GWR in 1922 becoming No 2194 where it worked the Weymouth Quayside line for many years until 1940 when it moved to Taunton passing into BR Service in 1948 however withdrawal came in February 1953 and it was subsequently scrapped at Swindon on an unknown date. |
