Lot 54 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "ASTON HALL" As carried by a Collett designed 49xx Hall Class ex GWR 4-6-0 No "4986" built at Swindon Works in January 1931. Allocations included Old Oak Common, Wolverhampton Stafford Road, Stourbridge Jcn, Reading and Southall from where it was withdrawn in May 1962. Cut up at Swindon Works 12/62. Aston Hall is a Grade 1 Listed Jacobean house situated in the Aston district of Birmingham and was built between 1618 and 1635.
