Lot 191 Brass Oval South African Railways single language Steam Locomotive Cabside Numberplate "2272-GE". As carried by a 2-8-2 Beyer Garratt built by Beyer Peacock of Manchester in 1925-6. At that time this successful class of heavy freight locomotives were the most powerful in Africa.
