Lot 172 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "COLOMBO" as carried by a Gresley designed ex GNER/LNER/BR Class A3 4-6-2 Number "60036" built at Doncaster works in July 1934. Allocations included Gateshead, York, Heaton, Kings Cross, Leeds Copley Hill, Ardsley and Leeds Neville Hill from where it was withdrawn November 1964. Cut up at Drapers, Neptune Street Goods, Hull 03/65. Colombo was a British thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In a career that lasted from April 1933 to June 1934 he ran eleven times and won nine races. Colombo was an outstanding two-year-old, unbeaten in seven races in 1933.
