| Lot 179 | C/I Steam Locomotive Cabside Numberplate "8793". As carried by a Collett designed ex GWR 57xx class 0-6-0-PT built at Swindon works in March 1934. Allocations included St.Philips Marsh, Weymouth, Swindon and Worcester from where it was withdrawn in December 1964. Cut up at Cashmore's Newport, South Wales 04/65. Note: the smokebox numberplate from this loco is also in this auction. |
