Lot 379 Brass South African Railways Locomotive Cabside Numberplate "831". From a SAR class 16C 4-6-2 locomotive. The class of 30 were introduced in 1921 for fast passenger work and numbered 812-841. No 831 is North British No. 22725, re-boilered with 'standard/interchangeable' boiler during 1930-1936 and reclassed as 16CR. Withdrawn from Sydenham Depot working Port Elizabeth fast suburban services in the mid-1970s. Ex-loco condition.
