As carried by a 4-8-2 Watson (South Africa) designed North British Loco Co built locomotive built in 1935 as a batch of 50 numbered between 2435 and 2484 and withdrawn in 1978. The mainstay of the service in the Western Cape for more than 40 years. Face and rear ex-loco.

 | Brass Oval Electric Locomotive Worksplate "SOUTH AFRICAN RAILWAYS E.15 1E". Class 1E's were South Africa's first batch of 78 electric locomotives - an eventual fleet of 172 locos built for SAR in seven series by four manufacturers over a 20-year period. E15 was built by the Swiss Locomotive & Machine Works (SLM) in 1923. The early models bore number plates inscribed in English only. And were employed principally in Natal. Face restored, rear ex-loco.
