Description

C/I Steam Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate 6926. As carried by a Collett designed ex GWR 49xx class 4-6-0 named HOLKHAM HALL built at Swindon works in November 1941.  Allocations included Newport Ebbw Jct, Old Oak Common, Severn Tunnel Jct, Oxley, Wolverhampton Stafford Road, Shrewsbury, Tyseley and Banbury from where it was withdrawn in May 1965. Cut up at Cashmore’s, Great Bridge 09/65. Restored front and rear but first time at auction.
