Brass Diesel Locomotive Nameplate ISAMBARD KINGDOM BRUNEL together with its matching cabside numberplate in the same GWR style. As carried by Class 47 No. 47484. New to 87E Landore as D1662, becoming 47484 12/73. Originally named at Bristol Temple Meads station on 20/03/65, this brass example was fitted at Old Oak Common on 23/02/85 as part of the GWR 150 events. Nameplates removed 12/98. Loco has been in store many times since 1992 and was sold for preservation to the Pioneer Diesel Group in 05/11 and remains stored at Wishaw awaiting possible restoration. A superb pair of plates in ex-loco condition.
