Alloy Electro-Diesel Locomotive Nameplate BATTLE OF BRITAIN 50th ANNIVERSARY. As fitted to BR ED Class 73 No. 73109. Built by English Electric and introduced to traffic and allocated to Stewarts Lane 75D in January 1966 as No. E6015, it received TOPS number 73109 in January 1974. Named on 8/8/90 at Folkestone Central station by Lord Ilchester, President of the Royal Air Force Association, to mark the anniversary. The nameplates were removed at St. Leonards 08/13. Loco stored in Tonbridge West Yard 04/18 until re-instated to St. Leonards 05/20 with GB Railfreight and re-named BATTLE OF BRITAIN 80TH ANNIVERSARY by 09/20. Ex-loco condition.
