Named at Bristol Barton Hill depot on 03/02/94 by Neil Brewer, District Director of Royal Mail South West. The nameplates were removed 01/01. Previously named COUNTY OF AVON (09/83-11/93). Loco stored 12/00 and moved to Wigan CRDC 04/01 and partially dismantled. The remains were sold to Sandbach Car & Commercial Dismantlers Ltd 02/03 and moved to the yard of S. Norton, Liverpool for cutting up. No.2 cab and bogie were saved and used at the H&S Interactive Centre at Plymouth station. The cab was then preserved at the Cab Yard, Bridgend. Ex-loco condition.
