| Cheshire Lines Committee 12in Roundhead Fusee Clock No. 237. originally supplied by W. McFerran, Victoria St, Manchester, but has been overwritten at the top with G ECCLES & SON and at the bottom with LIVERPOOL, (‘ghosting’ of the original lettering still visible). Entered BR (M) service as No. 18531 as evidenced by a small oval brass numberplate to the side of the case. Complete with pendulum and winding key and in good working order and the movement has been recently cleaned. The side door to the back box looks to be a replacement. |
