C/I Steam Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate 42423. As carried by a Fowler designed ex LMS class 4P 2-6-4T built at Derby works in December 1933. Allocations included Greenock Ladyburn, Wigan Springs Branch, Trafford Park, Patricroft, Alsager, Macclesfield and Brunswick from where it was withdrawn in September 1961. Cut up at the Central Wagon Works, Ince, Near Wigan 08/62. Restored front and rear but the first time out at auction.
