Great Central Railway Single Needle Pegging Block Instrument. Mahogany case in good condition except for short length of beading on the front, easily replaced. Some paint flaking from faceplate but dial in excellent condition and prominently marked 'GCR'. Probably re-located by the LNER on to the former GNR Leen Valley Line and the instrument fitted with a very nice early ivorine plate reading "ANNESLEY GN JC BOX".

Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Double-Line Absolute Block Instrument in tidy mahogany case. This is a nice example of the later pattern of this instrument which is essentially a lock and block instrument with an electro-mechanical 'train waiting' indicator and track circuit control over the commutator. Fitted with original, cast brass L&Y pattern "FAST" plate.
