 | H.A Ivatt's retirement present! The gift to Ivatt, upon his retirement from the G.N.R, was this oil on canvas study of Ivatt, in his office with a picture of one of his locomotives on the wall behind. The frame bears a plaque 'Presented to H. A Ivatt Esq on his retirement by the Officers and salaried staff of the Locomotive, Carriage and Wagon Department of the Great Northern Railway Company, 1911'. The painting has since been in the Bulleid family for many years and has been donated by his grandson, David Bulleid, to the Bulleid Society to raise funds for locomotive restoration.
