 | Brass East African Railways Locomotive Nameplate BAGISU. As carried by a Tribal 31 Class 2-8-4 Vulcan Foundry Works No. 6236 of 1955, a development of the earlier 29 Class for main line work on the East African system. Transferred to Kenya Railways in 1977. Ex-loco condition. Plus Locomotive Cabside Numberplate 3105 ex BAGISU. Size 24in x 9in. Plus the smokebox numberplate 3105 Size 17.5in x 6.5in. Both numberplates ex-loco condition.

Class 1E's were South Africa's first batch of 78 electric locomotives - an eventual fleet of 172 locos built for SAR in seven series by four manufacturers over a 20-year period. E15 was built by Swiss Locomotive & Machine Works (SLM) in 1923. The early models bore number plates inscribed in English only and were employed principally in Natal. Face restored, rear ex-loco.
