Cut up at Swindon works 05/56. Front restored, rear ex-loco. In a rare case of BR recycling, the back has been hand-painted "5228", a Collett 2-8-0T withdrawn in April1964. Two for the price of one!

Allocations included Wolverhampton Stafford Road, Banbury, Cardiff Canton, Pontypool Road and Oxley from where it was withdrawn in September 1956. Presumably scrapped at Swindon on a date not recorded. Front restored, rear ex-loco.
