McFerran, Victoria St, Manchester, but has been overwritten at the top with G ECCLES & SON and at the bottom with LIVERPOOL, (‘ghosting’ of the original lettering still visible). Entered BR (M) service as No. 18531 as evidenced by a small oval brass numberplate to the side of the case. Complete with pendulum and winding key and in good working order and the movement has been recently cleaned. The side door to the back box looks to be a replacement. |

Complete with its enamel numeral disc LBSCR 189 that are often missing from these early clocks. Mechanism has been recently cleaned and serviced. A nice early example. Overall height 28.5in.
